American Creek

Properties

  • Champion Property
TARGET:Gold-silver carbonate replacement deposits; shear-hosted gold-silver deposits. The target is large and high grade.
LOCATION:20 km north of Stewart, east of American Creek, 2 km northeast of Red Cliff mine (Decade/Mountain Boy).
STAGE:Early stage exploration, building on 100 years of exploration including limited production in the early 1900s. Multiple gold-silver and base metal showings were each examined in isolation.
PREMISE:Three historic mines within a 10 sq km area all produced exceptionally high silver values, and those high grades were supported by limited modern drilling at one of the mines. The exploration concept is an extensive mineralizing system underlying the historic mines. In line with other geological systems of this type, mineralization would zone from high grade silver high in the upper part of the system down through a gold zone, which would be accessed from the valley.
PRIOR WORK:The area was explored in the early 1900s, with the Terminus Mine worked through 1928. Sampling in the 1980s around and to the north of Terminus found encouraging values, with the initial focus on extending the previously worked veins. Geophysical surveys were flown in 1988 and 1990, but there was little follow up. There is no evidence of regional scale work before the Auramex work in summer 2018.
OWNERSHIP:100% owned by Auramex, 1% NSR
    SIZE:1,568 ha
INFRASTRUCTURE:Electrical transmission line and paved Stewart Highway 2 ½ km south of the property; Mountain Boy mine access road crosses the property.
  • Dorothy 2 Property
TARGET:A continuation of the mineralizing system on the adjacent Champion property.
LOCATION:25 km northeast of Stewart, on American Creek, 3 km northeast of Mountain Boy mine, 3 km northwest of Terminus Mine; contiguous with the western boundary of the Champion property.
    STAGE:Grassroots; tie-on to Champion.
PREMISE:Geological units and structural features continue from the adjoining property, suggesting a continuation of the mineralizing system postulated on Champion.
PRIOR WORK:Historic work identified gold/silver veins along American Creek and the presence of intrusive units; little or no prior work on the upper portions of the property.
    OWNERSHIP:Option to acquire 100%, 2.0% NSR (after buy-down option).
    SIZE:500 ha
INFRASTRUCTURE:Road access along American Creek; electrical transmission line and paved Stewart Highway 5 km south of the property.
  • Champion South (Silver Crown) Property
TARGET:Gold-silver carbonate replacement deposits; shear-hosted and stratabound silver-gold/base metal deposits.
LOCATION:25 km northeast of Stewart near Stewart Highway, contiguous with southern boundary of the Champion property and eastern boundary of Mountain Boy/Decade Red Cliff property, 2 km northeast of Red Cliff mine.
STAGE:Grassroots; building on sporadic early work.
PREMISE:Immediately adjacent to the past producing Red Cliff mine that yielded ore in the early 1900s grading 5% copper and modern drill results that include multiple-ounce intersections of gold. Situated along the highly prospective American Creek corridor, immediately south of a historic high-grade silver mine. The working model is that the robust mineralizing system that produced the adjacent deposits underlies this property.
PRIOR WORK:Immediately adjacent to the property, mines operated intermittently from 1915 to 1937; little work was done until 1990 when the area was covered by an airborne geophysical survey. In spite of the highly prospective nature of the property and adjacent production, little other work has been conducted.
    OWNERSHIP:Option to acquire 100%, 2% NSR .
    SIZE:252 ha
INFRASTRUCTURE:Electrical transmission line and paved Stewart Highway cross the south of the property.
  • Confluence Property
TARGET:Gold-bearing polymetallic veins similar to Premier, Brucejack, Red Cliff, Red Mountain.
LOCATION:15 km north of Stewart along Stewart Highway, contiguous with Decade Resources’ Red Cliff project.
STAGE:Grassroots, building on 120 years of sporadic exploration.
PREMISE:The property is centred on the intersection of two major structural features exploited by the valleys of the south-trending American Creek, south-southwest trending lower valley of the Bear River and west-trending upper valley of the Bear River. Two showings immediately east of the property were worked in the 1920s. The rock units and the structural features related to the Red Cliff deposit and the showings to the east appear to pass through the Confluence property.
PRIOR WORK:There has been little recorded systematic work on the property, except for airborne geophysics and Synthetic Aperture Radar which point to highly prospective features that tie into the adjacent mineralized zones.
OWNERSHIP:100% owned by Auramex, 1% NSR.
SIZE:451 ha 100% (an additional 253 ha optioned 80% to Decade Resources Ltd. September 2017)
INFRASTRUCTURE:Electrical transmission line and paved Stewart Highway cross property.
